Financial discount or discount for cash
Let's say you have following setup in 1Archive:
- Net amount: €100
- VAT percentage: 21%
In a normal situation, the VAT amount would be €21 and the Total amount would be €121.
In case of a financial discount, the VAT amount will be calculated differently:
- Discount %: 2
The discount will be calculated based on the amount in the Net amount field. The discount in this example equals €2 (2% of €100).
This means that the taxable amount will be changed from €100 to €98 (€100 minus the €2 discount).
The VAT amount is calculated based on the taxable amount, so 21% of €98 = €20,58.
The Total amount will thereby result in €120,58.
